Flood Relief
August 18, 2010: Three weeks after the flooding began due to monsoon rains, 20% of Pakistan is under water, affecting more than 20 million people, with 6 million of those needing immediate emergency relief.
UN Secretary General, shortly after flying over hard-hit areas with Pakistani President, described the devastation, “I will never forget the destruction and suffering I have witnessed today. In the past, I have witnessed many natural disasters around the world, but nothing like this.”
Fortunately, no rain is forecast for the next week, allowing waters to begin receding and relief workers to reach children and families in need. Your help makes a difference and supports our relief efforts in providing emergency supplies to families displaced from their homes, many whom have lost everything but the clothes they’re wearing.
Please continue to pray for Pakistan and the millions in need of help. Pray that people like you would respond with generosity, showing the love of GOD in a tangible way.
Based on latest UN reports, the number of flood affected people in Pakistan is 20 million. It is more than three recent major disasters (Pak. Earthquake 2005, South Asian Tsunami, Haiti Earthquake) combined...!

I would like to shed light on why the Islamic Education Trust was formed and what its objects are:-
